A Little History On The Rum Pere Lebat
The rum of Père Labat is an agricultural rum produced in Grand-Bourg on the island of Marie-Galante in Guadeloupe.
For more than a century, the small distillery of Poisson produces the rum of Father Labat. It produces around 300,000 liters of rum each year1 of which 3 agricultural rums. One rum at 40 °, one at 50 ° alcohol and the other at 59 ° alcohol, unlike other rums from Guadeloupe which are generally 50º or 55º2.
Since 2014 the distillery has increased its annual production to 400,000 liters.
