Is a French city, located in the department of Guadeloupe. Its inhabitants are called the Sainte-Rosien (s). With an area of 119.65 km2, Sainte-Rose is the second largest commune of Guadeloupe after Petit-Bourg. It is located on a large part of the north of Basse-Terre (between Lamentin and Deshaies). In particular, the city is crossed by the Grande Rivière at Goyaves, the river Nogent, the Mosquito river, the river Ramée, the Salée river and the river Vieux-Fort which separates its territory from that of the commune of Deshaies.
