Is a French city, located in the department of Guadeloupe. The inhabitants are called the Capesterrians. The city is located in the southeast of Basse-Terre. To the north, it is limited to the ravine of the little Briqueterie which separates it from Goyave; To the south, to the Rivière du Trou au Chien which separates it from Trois-Rivières. It is crossed by three main rivers: the Grand Carbet River, the Grande Rivière de la Capesterre and the Peruvian River which join to form a common mouth before flowing into the Atlantic Ocean just north of the village at the tip of the Capesterre.
