The coffee culture in Guadeloupe. Formerly a major agriculture staple of Guadeloupe, coffee has experienced since the second half of the nineteenth century an inexorable fall … but not irreversible. In recent years, coffee production seems to resume in Guadeloupe. Thanks to the quality of its stumps and to very favorable climatic and geological conditions, it is now recognized as an exceptional product.
The tour allows you to discover the history of coffee over time and on five continents.
We present you in detail, from 1721 to today the epic of the coffee of Guadeloupe as in the life, the gestures, the customs and the techniques of production of our ancestors. From picking to roasting, we unveil all the operations necessary for the transformation of the coffee bean into a drink with many virtues.
You will understand then why the vintage “Grigne au Vent” is classified as one of the best coffees in the world.
