Welcome to Domaine de Séverin

Which opens the doors of an authentic Habitation Guadeloupe: Habitation Marsolle. A place full of history, to discover at your own pace …

Lovers of Guadeloupe, this site is for you, good visit!

Unforgettable moment at Domaine de Séverin. Come totally disoriented to the Domaine de Séverin and discover the various activities that are proposed to you.

Visit the Domain aboard the Little-Train

Comfortably seated on board the Little -Train, take the time to browse the Estate, its distillery, its garden, its House of the Habitation (former home of Henri Marsolle) and its fields of sugar cane. Enjoy a stop to contemplate the panoramic view of the mountains and the great cul de sac marin.

The visit in the little -Train lasts about 35 minutes and is fully commented in French.

The lifts are from Monday to Saturday at 9:30, 10:30, 11:30, 14:15, 15:00 and 16:00 (in September, the lifts are only in the morning).
Walk in the Domain

After your visit in Little-Train, take the time to walk in the Domaine de Séverin, observe the grinding of sugar cane (during the season, usually from February to June), to discuss with the workers. Then venture into the beautiful Creole garden of the property, lovingly landscaped by May Marsolle where you can discover hundreds of species of trees, plants and flowers, sometimes unique in Guadeloupe!

You will also be able to observe the “Case à Popo”, a reproduction of an old box of worker.
The House of the Habitation

Enter this authentic Creole house colonial style and transport you to the early 20th century with all the objects of time preciously preserved by the family Marsolle and staged to make you feel the soul of this venerable home. You will also discover the sets of the Franco-British series “Murder in Paradise”.
Tasting and shopping at the Cave à Rhum

In our shop, the Cave à Rhum, you can taste and buy a wide selection of Guadeloupean products (white rum, old rum, creole punch, Dame Besson sauces, Creole Food and homemade jams). A large selection of craft souvenirs is also available.

This is particularly interesting for Rums & Punchs, because in Guadeloupe taxes are much lower than Metropolitan France, which means that prices are much lower. And what’s more fun to bring back from your trip to Guadeloupe than good Agricultural Rum!
